Today we were joined by Anthony Wooley and Mark Armstrong, two local filmmakers who are jumping on-board the Opiate boat. The ‘pod’ came down today, and work began on reclaiming the main space in the studio.

As mentioned a week or so go, we’ve got this lovely big new studio space… unfortunately, there’s an awful lot of stuff in the way. Thusly, it’s all hands on deck to clean it up and get it ready to get a’making movies in!

The Art Organisation have offered us a space right in the city centre.  It needs a fair bit of fixing up, but seems to suit our purposes perfectly, combining space for edit suites, equipment storage, rehersals, set-building, screening and more. It seems that we might well have a new studio on the (Liverpool) horizon… This week we checked out a few potential spaces, three floors of city-centre property that are ripe for a’making movies in. Watch this space for exciting news. Well, news at the very least.
